Framing is optional

The frame is wooden with a matt black finish and 35mm wide.

The print is conservation mounted using an acid free window and under mount which won’t damage the the print over time or turn brown at the bevelled edges.

A double window mount is used. The upper mount is antique white and the lower one is charcoal black. As well as being beneficial to the aesthetics of the unit the window mount prevents the print from touching the glass which is a beneficial in the conservation process.

Styrene is used to ‘glaze’ the unit and to protect the artwork from the damage that pollutants in the atmosphere can cause.

A protective mdf backing board is inserted into the back and then sealed.

There is an internal seal sealing the styrene and the mount to stop any thunder flies getting under the styrene.

D-rings and picture wire are attached to the back so it is ready to hang.

Felt bumpers stuck to the bottom corners of the frame prevent the frame touching and marking your wall. These bumpers also increase air flow around your framed art which is beneficial in the conservation process.

The framing process is fully reversable by a professional picture framer in the unlikely event that you would wish to change the frame.

Do not hang the print in direct sunlight or over a heat source like a radiator etc.
